The Current Sky
This page works out where the sun, the moon, the planets and the brighter stars are from wherever you are, then draws them and says it in words, for now, for any minute of any day, and across the year.
Choose a place
The sky is worked out to two decimal places of latitude and longitude, about a kilometre. The place you ask for is not stored, except as the server's access log records every address it is asked for.
The sky, drawn
A slider moves the drawings through the day, or through a month or a year at one time of day: the dome overhead with the planets, the horizon to look along, the moon as it looks, and the world in day and night.
